Vardhaman Innovation and Entrepreneurship Wing (VIEW)

Transforming Ideas into Products, Products into Startups, and Startups into Impact.

Impact & Achievements

The Vardhaman Innovation and Entrepreneurship Wing (VIEW) has developed a vibrant innovation ecosystem that integrates academic learning, community engagement, research, and entrepreneurship. Through initiatives such as the EPICS framework under the Community Innovation & Transformation (CIT) wing, students are encouraged to identify real-world problems and develop practical technological solutions.

Over the years, this ecosystem has generated measurable outcomes in innovation, research, and startup development, reflecting the institution’s commitment to innovation-driven engineering education.

Innovation Outcomes

Innovation activities at CIE have led to the development of a large number of student-led technological solutions and research outputs. To date, the ecosystem has produced over 356 prototypes and innovative products, of which 21 solutions have been successfully delivered to communities and stakeholders.

In addition to product development, these innovation efforts have contributed significantly to academic research and intellectual property generation, resulting in 82 patents published or granted and 108 research papers published by students and faculty.

These outcomes highlight the strong integration of innovation with academic learning and research activities.

Startup Development and Funding Support

The incubation ecosystem under the VEC Centre for Research and Innovation Foundation (CRIF) has facilitated the growth of student-led startups emerging from innovation projects.

Currently, eight startups have been incubated within the institutional ecosystem. In the academic year 2024–25, six startups received incubation grants, with a total funding support of ₹12,00,000, where each startup was allocated ₹2,00,000 to support prototype development, resource procurement, mentoring, and operational activities.
